The Foo Fighters concert in New Zealand caused vibrations similar to those detected in volcanic tremors.
According to "Rolling Stone", the band's concert last Wednesday gave rise to vibrations thanks to geological movement of 50,000 fans.
The vibrations were recorded by two seismic stations. Scientists revealed that the first tremor occurred during the performance of the backing band Tenacious D, but the vibration was highest when the Foo Fighters came on stage.
The experts wrote the following: "The cause of earthquakes is most likely due to the weight of 50 000 fans dancing, as 50 000 fans is equivalent to 5,000 tons of moving mass."
Remember that the Foo Fighters have recently confirmed that they plan to go to studio to record a new album in 2012.
