The wealthy live in the powerful financial district in New York may have found a formidable rival.
On the afternoon of Saturday, and pop princess Katy Perry, cycling through Zuccotti Park, where, since last month, protesters "Occupy Wall Street," protesting against the greed of corporations.
The singer crossed the area with her husband Russell Brand and posed for some pictures with the social activist Russell Simmons, one of the many celebrities who give their name to this cause.
While Perry has just passed the scene without making large political gestures, her husband Russell expressed his support for the movement. The British comic has also launched its website in a manifesto which celebrates the "many successes" of the Protestants.
