Beyonce leads the race with ten Grammy Awards nominations

Beyoncé is a big favorite in the race to the Grammy Awards, this year they know its 52nd edition.
The author of Single Ladies is nominated in ten categories, including the Record of the Year, by Halo; Album of the Year and Best R & B Album for "I Am ... Sasha Fierce" Song of the Year, Best R & B Song and best R & B Vocal Performance for Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It), Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Collaboration and Best Rap / Sung by Ego.

They are also in the top positions of the young race awards country music singer Taylor Swift - comprising a total of eight nominations - Kings of Leon, Lady Gaga, Maxwell, Kanye West and Black Eyed Peas.

Highlights also include the Portuguese Maria Joao Pires, who is nominated for Best Instrumental Soloist Performance of Classical Music, the album "Chopin."

The winners of the 109 categories covered by the Grammys will be announced Jan. 31 at a ceremony held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
